lost and FOUND!

So, I thought I had lost this sketch I did in Corel almost a year ago and I was super bummed because I liked it SO much. But low and behold, it was stuck in my ipod where I knew I wouldn't just delete it accidentally (because anything I have on my Ipod is my LIFE...I love me music, yo!), and I FOUND IT! GAAAAAH! It was as if I'd found the long lost magical article that would bring about the end of the world and it was MINE...again. LOL! I've done more work to it and am planning on doing more, but this is what I've done to it in a 30 minute period. I call it The Bubble Warrior

I like Dead Things

"Always with You" V.C. Schaible
The 3 skull finished piece is Always With You and this is the original concept for my back tattoo. It's a mixed media piece and is on 300lb. soft press watercolor paper.

"The Jester" V.C. Schaible
The single skull on splatter paper is one part of a 10 part series of "Trading" cards. Honestly, I just bought them because I wanted to see how it was to work on something that's 2.5"x3"...and it's pretty sweet.

"Igor" V.C. Schaible
And the third and final piece is "Igor". Watercolor and ink on clayboard which is uber forgiving; I suggest you try it.

Get Off My Stage and Dream Shaman

Entitled Get Off My Stage. This is what I think Billy Corgan really thinks of all the people who say that the Pumpkins suck, that their not the Pumpkins because only half (now only 1/4) of the original band is touring/recording. Well, at least this is what I would do, what I feel when people try to tell me what to do. A big middle finger to the Naysayers.

And this is the very long anticipated finish of Dream Shaman that I did for the surrealist part of Eccentric Illustration last semester (fall '08). This is what changed the way I work, really unleashing my brain on myself and letting it free to do whatever it is that needs to be done. These are all ink squirts...wouldn't you like to know what goes on in my head. LOL

The New Addition: Loki Dillinger

This is the newest addition to the DeSchaibled family. His name is Loki Dillinger-after the Norse God for trickery and mischief, and John Dillinger, the outlaw played by the very handsome Johnny Depp.
He's a nine week old mini-lop and is already as I'm coming to find out, WAY too smart for a bunny...he's always standing on his hind legs to try and see what's on top of stuff, and then proceeds to find a way there. He's already figured out how to get on top of the DVD collection under the coffee table and has probably already figured out how to get on my bed via the mound of pillows at the head of the bed.
